Yep yep...went semi-school shopping today, and got lots of shirts. One pair of pants, but the pants thing is happening tomorrow anyway. I even got the same Rainbow Brite hoodie that Issy had. ^-^ It couldn't be helped. The very last one and marked down to just $30 at Gen X? w00t! I bought an Oscar the Grouch trucker hat and I lub it.

16 years old, and I've got to change things

I've been thinking a lot about who I am, and I've decided that I need to start making more of an impact in how I come off personality-wise. I'm not sure people really know who I am sometimes, and that worries me a lot for some reason. My 16th birthday came around and I decided to have a mock rave. I think it was then that I decided I should keep people guessing...keep them on their toes when it comes to who I am. I want to release my "inner raver" (lol) and just let go of everything holding me back and making me second guess everything. No more being shy because I'm afraid of someone's opinion. Steve, for some reason, made me want to wear loose clothes that kept me from showing off anything on my body. This year, I'm letting it go and saying "Yeah, I'm a little overweight, but DDR may help that a little." ;-)

Another thing is, I just want to stay being my own person. I don't like when people collaborate bits of everybody else into themself and call it original. Small pet peeve, I suppose.

Sorry, I don't know what brought on that rant...Anyway, I want to put something else out there. Yeah, I have a crush on some guy at Wendy's. People are saying he's 23, and if that makes me some little skank, fine. I don't care. I am willing to be reckless and try new things without losing my virginity, because that is also who I am. 16 years old...I can't hold back and not have fun at this age. It doesn't mean I'm going to intentionally be stupid...it means I'm not being as reserved and foolish as before.

*sigh* That's all, I guess. I just felt like I had to get that out of my system. Got my temps yesterday, getting new glasses tomorrow, already cut my hair again. (Shortest layer is right below my ears, and my longest piece of hair is near the base of my neck.) Yep. Peoples need to call me and stuff!! Summer just can't end this way. I'm in West Virginia, with my dad's side of the family. Today is my Papop's birthday, so happy 77th birthday mon grandpapa.

I wish I could be my OWN PERSON. Everytime I think I have a "Lindsay original" so to speak, somebody takes it from me and makes it seem like it was theirs all along. They don't even watch the show/ listen to the music. I don't know...I just wish that certain things could be my trademark only, but whatever. I don't care. Maybe I'm just mad b/c I haven't been able to talk to Miko for awhile. I really really miss him, and it's putting me in a crap mood.

Brandy and I switched shifts so I could go to my playoff game tonight, meaning I had to be at work at noon. (Whoops; did Lindsay stay up until 5:15 a.m again?) Bad job Linz. I was reaaaally tired this morning, but I dragged my butt into work. The place was soooo empty. My two managers and I were the only ones there, and I got to clean the bar. I took a dollar in with me to mess around with the jukebox, and I could buy 3 songs.

My manager called me a nerd just because I was singing along to the Monkees. (Well, seeing as the spraybottle was my microphone.) I hate the little people!

So anyways, I'm home from work. Don't feel like getting up b/c I'm finally comfy. Maybe I should take a nap...? Eh. Anyway, the game tonight is at a place called Weatherstone. It's on Reimer Road. Just come to a fork, go left, come to another fork, go left. It's right there. ;)

Thanks to my friend at work, I don't need to pay for a hotel room for...heem. :) She's housesitting, and there's a place that has king sized beds everywhere, a hot tub, and a computer with online-ness. Sounds like a game of The Sims, but I don't care. Though I'm worried about the cost of the tickets, still. We're talking about it as I write. He's currently worried about how his mama will react when he tells her that he wants to come see me. Ask her, buttmunch. Don't just sit there. hehehe. ;)

So it is now Saturday, and I have to be at work in roughly 8 hours. Hahaha. Then we have a playoff game at 8. Pleeeease come out and support Deb and I! It could be our very last game if we lose...
If we do happen to lose, I'm going to West Virginia on Sunday. If we win, I have to wait until Tuesday, then I'm leaving town. Dunno. If I don't get in bed soon, I'm going to be worthless tomorrow anyway. Hum.

In church this morning, the pastor started out his sermon by reading the thank you cards we've received. The Wadsworth-Rittman hospital gave us one, thanking the women who knitted booties for the newborn babies. Unfortunately for my stupid sense of humor, the card read,
"Thank you, Ambassador Baptist Church for the gift of booties."
I started laughing uncontrollably and I was the only one. -.-

On that note, I am going to go watch some Aqua Teen Hunger Force and go take a nap, because I have a severe case of stupidity. *sigh*

Ha. Also, my mom got the phone bill. $65 because of all the phone calls to Miko. Oopsie. Looks like I have to start saving up money for an airplane ticket and hotel room.

I might be unrealistic, I might be disillusioned, and I might be blinded by how much I care about certain things. I guess I'm still happy, even if I am. I'm just really sick of certain people who won't let me dream, if anything. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won't, but I don't need all the negative input..

Summer sucks so far. Nothing to do besides scrounge for hours at work and avoid babysitting my gaseous niece. She's a sweet 11 month old but she knows how to bite now. With one tooth.

I received an extremely rude phone call today, and I'm leaving it at that. I really hope everybody gets what they deserve, and maybe I can start over somewhere.

Nina, can you help me? (Or anybody that can make LJ or buddy icons.) I want to have a Pet Sematary icon, with animation. It would start out with cute l'il non-evil Gage throwing his food at the kitty, Church. Then the words "Uh-oh!" would appear by his head. The icon would fade to black, where white words would say "Come back to us, Gage.", then flash to ebil Gage growling with a knife.

I heart that movie...'cept for the part where he's killed. Still can't seem to watch that part..
